Rove Miles Explained (2026): Earn Airmiles and Hotel Points on Any Credit Card, Plus US eSIM Sign-up Guide
What if a basic lifetime-free credit card could earn you airmiles the way a super-premium card does? That is the idea behind Rove Miles. I have been using it for my travel bookings, and this guide covers everything I have learnt: what Rove is, how it earns, all 22 of its transfer partners, how to stack three layers of rewards on one booking, and the complete sign-up process from India using a US eSIM.
I have also made a detailed Hindi video on Rove Miles on the SpendWisely YouTube channel. Watch it here if you prefer video.

What Is Rove Miles?
Rove Miles is a US-based travel rewards platform. You can book hotels and flights worldwide on Rove itself, or go through Rove to popular travel brands like Accor, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton, Klook and GetYourGuide. Either way, you earn Rove Miles on your spend.
The simplest way to understand it: it works like our CashKaro app, but instead of cashback you earn Rove Miles, which you can transfer to airline and hotel loyalty programmes. For anyone who knows how to use airmiles well, that is usually worth a lot more than cash.
Earn rates depend on the brand and the offer, from about 2% up to as much as 40% back in Rove Miles on select bookings and promotions. That is the kind of return you would normally only see on a super-premium credit card with an accelerated travel portal.

Rove Miles Transfer Partners: Full List (22 Programmes)
This is the main reason Rove is worth having. As of October 2026, Rove Miles transfer to 22 loyalty programmes: 20 airline programmes covering all three major alliances (Star Alliance, oneworld and SkyTeam), the ALL Accor hotel programme, and Virgin Red.
Every partner transfers at 1:1 except ALL Accor, which transfers at 3:2 (1,500 Rove Miles = 1,000 ALL Accor points).
| Programme | Alliance / Type | Ratio | You Receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aeromexico Rewards | SkyTeam | 1:1 | Aeromexico Reward Points |
| Air Canada Aeroplan | Star Alliance | 1:1 | Aeroplan points |
| Air France-KLM Flying Blue | SkyTeam | 1:1 | Flying Blue Miles |
| Air India Maharaja Club | Star Alliance | 1:1 | Maharaja Points |
| ALL Accor | Hotels | 3:2 | ALL Accor Reward points |
| Cathay | oneworld | 1:1 | Asia Miles |
| Copa ConnectMiles | Star Alliance | 1:1 | ConnectMiles |
| Etihad Guest | — | 1:1 | Etihad Guest Miles |
| Finnair Plus | oneworld | 1:1 | Avios |
| Frontier Miles | — | 1:1 | Travel Miles |
| Hainan Airlines Fortune Wings Club | — | 1:1 | Fortune Wings Club Points |
| Japan Airlines Mileage Bank | oneworld | 1:1 | JAL miles |
| JetBlue TrueBlue | — | 1:1 | TrueBlue points |
| Lufthansa Group Miles & More | Star Alliance | 1:1 | Miles & More Miles |
| Qantas Frequent Flyer | oneworld | 1:1 | Qantas Points |
| Qatar Airways Privilege Club | oneworld | 1:1 | Avios |
| SAS EuroBonus | SkyTeam | 1:1 | Bonus points |
| Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus | Star Alliance | 1:1 | Royal Orchid Plus Miles |
| Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles | Star Alliance | 1:1 | Miles&Smiles Miles |
| Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles | SkyTeam | 1:1 | Lotusmiles |
| Virgin Atlantic Flying Club | SkyTeam | 1:1 | Virgin Points |
| Virgin Red | Virgin rewards club | 1:1 | Virgin Points |
Two of these give you Avios: Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Finnair Plus. Avios can then be used across the Avios family of airlines.

Which Partners Do Indian Travellers Use Most?
Rove’s value is the breadth of its partner list, so pick the programme that suits your trip rather than sticking to one. Indian travellers widely use most of these partners, especially:
- ALL Accor for stays at Accor hotels across India and abroad
- Avios through Qatar Privilege Club or Finnair Plus
- Japan Airlines Mileage Bank for oneworld redemptions
- Cathay Asia Miles for Cathay Pacific and oneworld flights
- Air France-KLM Flying Blue for SkyTeam flights
- Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles for South-East Asia and SkyTeam flights
- Virgin Atlantic Flying Club for Virgin Atlantic and its partner airlines
- Air India Maharaja Club and Turkish Miles&Smiles for Star Alliance flights
Most partners have a minimum transfer of 2,000 Rove Miles, with the increment after that varying by partner.
Why I Find Rove Miles So Useful
1. No Caps on Earning, Redeeming or Transferring
This is the big difference from Indian bank portals like HDFC SmartBuy, HSBC Hopper or ICICI iShop, which cap how many accelerated points you can earn in a month, and sometimes how many you can redeem on a booking.
Rove has no such caps. There is no monthly or yearly limit on how many Rove Miles you can earn, no limit on how many you can use for a flight, a hotel or anything else on Rove, and no cap on how many you can transfer to its airline and hotel partners.
2. Triple Dip: Three Layers of Rewards on One Booking
This is where Rove gets really interesting. On a single booking, you can earn:
- Rove Miles on the booking itself.
- Hotel or airline loyalty points. Eligible Accor, Marriott, Hilton, IHG and World of Hyatt bookings made through Rove also earn that hotel programme’s points, and most of those nights count towards elite status.
- Your credit card rewards. You still earn your card’s regular reward points, miles or cashback.
When searching hotels on Rove, turn on the “Loyalty Eligible” filter. It shows only properties where you also get hotel loyalty benefits, so you do not miss the second layer.

Rove payments are processed as hotel-category, international transactions. So a card with accelerated rewards on hotels or international spends, like the HSBC TravelOne Credit Card (or the Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card if you already hold one), earns even more. Check your card’s terms for any category exclusions first.
3. Premium-Card Returns Without a Premium Card
You do not need an expensive super-premium card to earn high returns. Any basic or lifetime-free card with international transactions enabled is enough to start earning Rove Miles and transferring them to airline and hotel programmes. A strong travel card simply adds more on top.
4. Frequent Transfer Bonuses
Rove frequently runs bonus offers on miles transfers to its partners, and extra-miles promotions with brands like Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton. If you time your transfers around these offers, every Rove Mile goes further.
For example, these transfer bonuses are live as I write this in October 2026 (the JAL, Flying Blue and Qatar offers run till 31 October 2026):
- Japan Airlines Mileage Bank: 50% bonus (1,000 Rove Miles = 1,500 JAL miles)
- Air France-KLM Flying Blue: 40% bonus (1,000 Rove Miles = 1,400 Flying Blue Miles)
- Qatar Airways Privilege Club: up to 35% bonus, tiered by transfer size: 15% below 50,000 miles, 25% for 50,000–100,000, and 35% above 100,000
- JetBlue TrueBlue: 20% bonus (1,000 Rove Miles = 1,200 TrueBlue points)

Booking a Hotel on Rove: A Real Example
Here is a search I did for ibis Phuket Kata, an ALL Accor eligible hotel. The room cost US$38.13 plus US$7.12 in taxes and fees, and the booking earns up to 5x miles (190 Rove Miles). Alternatively, I could pay 4,000 Rove Miles for the same stay.

Rove shows the redemption value of paying with miles here as about 1.1 US cents per mile. Transferring Rove Miles to an airline or hotel programme can often get you more value than that, especially during a transfer bonus. So I usually pay for bookings by card and keep my Rove Miles for transfers.
One Important Limitation
You can pay for flights and hotels on Rove only with a credit card or with Rove Miles you have already earned. You cannot use other loyalty points. For example, you cannot use Accor ALL points or Marriott Bonvoy points to book a hotel on Rove. To redeem those, you still need to book directly with the hotel programme.
Why You Need a US Mobile Number
Rove is a US platform. Signing up, logging in and redeeming miles all need an OTP sent to a US mobile number. The easiest way to get one from India is a US eSIM with a phone number. I used the Saily app, and here is the exact process I followed.
Step 1: Get a USA eSIM on Saily

To get a US number while sitting in India, download the Saily app and register. If you register through a referral link, you also get a discount on your plan. As I write this in October 2026, it is US$5 off the yearly US eSIM plan, so the US$11.99 plan costs just US$6.99. You can download Saily here and apply the code SPENDWISELY at checkout.
Once you have installed the app:
- Select “Explore Phone Numbers”.
- Choose the Yearly Plan. You need the annual plan because you will keep needing the US number for OTPs to log in to Rove and redeem miles.
- On the next page, select “Skip Destination”.
- At checkout, enter the coupon code SPENDWISELY.
- Enter your credit card details and pay.
Before paying, make sure international and online transactions are enabled on your credit card, with an online transaction limit of at least ₹1,000. After the discount, the actual charge under the current offer is only US$6.99.
Step 2: Complete Identity Verification
- Tap “Verify Your Identity” and then Continue.
- Select India as your country.
- Only the Passport option will be shown. Tap Continue.
- Take a photo of your original passport.
- Take a selfie with your full face inside the oval shown on screen.
- Wait for the “Identity Verified” confirmation.
Step 3: Install and Activate the eSIM
- Go to the Home page in the Saily app.
- Tap “Set Up SIM”.
- Select “On This Device”.
- Tap “Install eSIM” and follow the on-screen steps. Stay connected to the internet and do not interrupt the installation.
- On the next screens, tap “Activate SIM” and select “Voice & Data”.

Step 4: Turn On SMS for the US eSIM
On iPhone:
- Go to Settings → Cellular, select the newly installed eSIM, and turn on This Line.
- Go back to the list of eSIMs, select the same SIM again, and turn on Data Roaming.
On Android, follow a similar process under your SIM or mobile network settings. Your US number is now ready to receive SMS and OTPs.
Step 5: Sign Up for Rove Miles
With your US number active, you can register on Rove. Signing up through a referral link adds bonus Rove Miles to your account, which is 500 miles under the current offer (October 2026). You can sign up on Rove here.
- On the Rove page, do not choose “App”. Select “Web”.
- Click “Sign up” in the upper-right corner.
- Enter your new US mobile number.
- Enter the OTP you receive on your US eSIM. Your Rove Miles account is now created.
- Go to Profile and update your name and email address.
You are now ready to use Rove Miles for flights, hotels, Klook, GetYourGuide and more.
Tips to Get the Most Out of Rove Miles
- Book Klook and GetYourGuide activities through Rove instead of going to those sites directly.
- Before booking a hotel directly, compare Rove’s rates and multipliers for Accor, Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Hyatt, with the Loyalty Eligible filter on.
- Pay with a credit card that rewards hotel or international spends.
- Keep an eye on Rove’s transfer bonuses and time your transfers around them.
- Choose the transfer partner based on the trip you are planning, not out of habit.
