Overview
The American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card is one of the most popular offerings from American Express (Amex), known for its strong reward potential—especially if you can spend up to ₹7 lakhs annually.
The card is structured around milestone benefits, which unlock at annual spending thresholds of ₹1.9 lakhs, ₹4 lakhs, and ₹7 lakhs. As your spending increases, so do your rewards—making it particularly valuable for high spenders.
One of the biggest advantages of this card is that almost all types of spending count toward milestone bonuses. This includes categories that are often excluded by other credit cards, such as government tax payments, NPS contributions, fuel, insurance premiums, and even rent payments. This makes it easier to hit milestones while still earning meaningful rewards.
Additionally, when you spend on popular brands or purchase gift cards through the Amex Rewards Multiplier platform, you can earn accelerated reward points—further boosting your overall returns.
Note: American Express is not issuing Amex Platinum Travel Credit Card in India currently.
